Die 80er waren für mich sehr spannend. 1980 hing ich noch an der Hitparade und hatte quasi keine Berührpunkte zu englischsprachiger Popmusik. War 10 und weiß auch nicht, wie ich das gemacht habe.. Später dann die totale Pubertät mit viel Wut und Verweigerungshaltung. Ist eine schizophrene Liste geworden..Habe die Sachen raus gelassen, die ich in den 90ern kennengelernt habe, was viel war, da ich in den 80ern noch nicht angefangen habe, wegen Platten auf warme Mahlzeiten zu verzichten. Und ich stehe (irgendwie) noch zu allen Stücken hier.

Meine musikalische Sozialisation beginnt in den frühen 80ern, somit kann ich nun die Hosen runter lassen und eine völlig authentische Liste präsentieren. Darin befinden sich Songs, die ich zur Zeit in der sie im Radio liefen sehr mochte (manches davon auch heute noch) und ‚ausgewählte‘ Albumtracks. "I know a few groovy middle-aged people, but not many." Keith Richards 1966Zu Beginn der 80er wurde Punk für mich langsam uninteressant. Auch die Berliner Szene veränderte sich zum Negativen hin. In den USA entwickelte sich der sogenannte Paisley-Underground. Da meine musikalische Sozialisation in den 60er Jahren stattfand, fühlte ich mich in dieser Musikrichtung gleich heimisch.
Der psychedelische Touch in meiner Liste lässt sich nicht verleugnen.

Nach den Experimenten mit der Form in den 70ern wandte sich die Musik wieder dem eigentlichen zu: Dem Lied. Keine Frage: Viele Arrangements und damit Takes (!) sind grässlich, gerade wenn man sie mit heutigen Ohren hört. Aber schreiberisch wurden in den Achtziger einige der besten Songs ALLER ZEITEN geschrieben. Das machte die Auswahl schwerer als in den anderen Jahrzehnten.
Mit dem Umzug in die Stadt verbreiterten sich Interesse und Verfügbarkeit.
Ich begann im CD-Verleih zu jobben und konnte mich an den Neuerscheinungen bedienen; Konzerte waren nicht mehr so schwer zu besuchen.
Dies sind die Songs, die mich in Vorlesungen ablenkten, zu denen ich Schlagzeug übte, Gitarre spielte, die mir durchs Examen halfen – es sind mehr als 100. Weniger ging nicht. Frage: weiss jemand, welches Lied das ist…schwer zu beschreiben:
es war ein Synthesizerhit in der Richtung von Yazoo, d.h. ein Synthesizer und Computerdrum, dazu sang, besser gesagt schrie eine Frau Worte hinaus…es war ein immer wieder kehrender Synthesizerlauf, dié frau war glaub ich blond und etwas dicklich (?) aber es waren nicht Yazoo.
Kam irgendwie apokalyptisch fand ich, und es kam vor oder nach Grandmaster Flash in FORMEL EINS?
Ich könnt euch den Synthesizerlauf vorsummen, geht hier im Fornm aber schlecht ;)
