Normalerweise müssten das doch gute Sitzplätze nahe der Bühne sein. Angeblich soll komplett bestuhlt werden. War bei Neil Young solo auch so. Also ich möchte dann vorne in der Mitte sitzen. Bitte !

Das is das gute an der Philipshalle. Die is so klein, da sieht man überall gut !!
Finde wir sollten diese Wucher Diskussion einstellen und uns jetzt alle auf die Konzerte freuen.
Vielleicht wird uns Bruce dann auch mit seinem schönsten Song belohnen, nämlich mit „Drive all night“.--

Im übrigen kann man sich ja evtl. durchaus daran erfreuen sich etwas besonders wertvolles zu leisten. Wenn das Konzert dann auch toll ist (wovon der normale Brucefan ausgehen sollte) dann war’s das Geld auch wert.
Ist die Kohle erst verloren, fühlt man sich wie auserkoren! (oder so ähnlich) :)--

RealmanDas is das gute an der Philipshalle. Die is so klein, da sieht man überall gut !!
Gibts noch eine Philipshalle? 1996 haben wir in Reihe 26 gesessen, sind aber während der Zugaben in die erste Reihe gestürmt. Zum Glück haben wir sehr schnell erkannt, dass sich die Sitzordnung aufgelöst hat. Also, wer hinten sitzt, sollte vor den Zugaben die Schuhe zubinden. ;)
Was wollte ich sagen? Ach so ja, die Philipshalle…das mit dem überall gut sehen wage ich zu bezweifeln. In der Kölner Philharmonie, da sieht man fast überall sehr gut. Sitz mal auf der Tribühne hinter dem Innenraum…dann bring besser ein Fernglas mit. ;)

Das is das gute an der Philipshalle.
Das ist mit die mieseste Halle,die ich kenne.
Aber sowas von!--
Hier ein paar Infos zum D&D alboom. Für mich liest sich das SEHR gut:
c&p vom SPL:
1. Devils & Dust. I guess than mostly everyone here has had a chance to listen to this song, so I won’t go into details. It sounded better than the mp3 I have at home, in particular both the strings and the electic guitars which I had not even realised they were there from the mp3. Solid, but not great.
2. All The Way Home. My biggest dissapointment on the whole album. Poorly sequenced indeed and not a great song by any standards. It does kick off with an electric guitar but it never gains any insight. the song is NOT the same we know from Southside Johnny. It shares some lyrics and all but sonically is nothing like SSJ’s version, much more uptempo. Could easily be an outtake from Lucky Town. It has an interesting instrumental bridge and here and there you can hear a blues harp very similar to the one on Spare Parts.
3. Reno. Starts off with ac. guitar an dobro. Dobros are present everywhere on the album, which by the way is very JJ Cale/ Ry Cooder sounding. Tom Joad style but more musical. I think Bruce has worked harder this time to open the tunes to more ears. In some parts you can hear the slide collide with the guitar’s neck, which is kinda neat. It also features strings, subtle but present.
4. Long Time Comin‘. Fantastic in my opinion. Starts off with the same acoustinc guitar as in the Joad tour but sometime in the middle it goes „boom“ and drums, electric guitars and girlie choruses kick in, which turns it into an instant classic. The tune keeps growing and I would say it is the best thing on the whole album. I really like what Patti does with her voices. It is the first time in my life in which I enjoy her in a Springsteen song. Really strong.
5. Black Cowboys. Tom Joad-ish from a start. It is mainly sustained on acoustic guitar and then piano, which is really nice since it is not something Bruce has used a lot of times before. It has a really beautiful keyboards bridge. Lyrics seem to be strong from what I could make. In nearly every song in the album there is a crescendo, so they start off acosutinc and end up „rockier“.
6. Maria´s Bed. Another one I really enjoyed. Again, it kicks off with an acoustic guitar riff, but also features siled and IMPRESSIVE mandolin work. Kudos to whoever played this instrument on this tune. Bruce sings in high pitch, very bluesy style. It starts off as a ballad, but then in the middle there is a break and gets rythmic. Impressive. I really like that transition. Then you get violins, sweet keyboards, etc.
7. Silver Palomino. Very Paris Texas soundwise. It also Joad-ish as the rest of the album but again feels musical opposed to the harsh sound on Joad. I would describe it as an Irish ballad sung by someone in East Texas. Short tune (around 3 minutes)
8. Jesus Was An Only Son. Sweeet. Very, very Sweet. Springsteen’s classic ballad but with western ambient. again the girlie choruses are excellent, they bring me memories of Across the Border or even better. It is also really short (less than 3 minutes)
9. Leah. Acoustic intro and keyboards. Gospel choruses by Bruce in the vein of Nothing Man but more acoustic. Bruce sings in Secret Garden mode, but much more enjoyable (I never liked Secret Garden a lot). Again, violin and harmonicas.
10. The Hitter. Not far from the Joad tour version. It would have been one of the melodic ones on Joad, but it is the harsher here. A bit too long in my opinion, but still great.
11. All I’m Thinking About. I quite dig the falsetto, it does not bother me and it is an enjoyable song, altough not the greatest on the album by any means.
12. Matamoras Bank. Excellent again. Also ParisTexas sounding, but really beautiful. Lyrics are somewhat sad („I long my darlin‘ for your kiss/ miss the touch of your lovin‘ fingertips“ or something along those lines). It nearly made me cry since I am living a dramatic personal situation. It is embellished with violins and a really weird but great percussion. It really provides a great close to a very solid album.
And that’s all. The album is really short (around 45 minutes, I guess) and it’s really easy to listen to. I really look foward to get my hands on it and listen again, since I have a feeling that it will be one of those albums in which you discover something new on each listen.

weißt du Bruce ist nicht unbedingt mein gott – für mich gibt es keine götzenverehrung
aber Bruce ist für mich ein einzigartiger künstler
seine lyrics gehören zu den poetischsten überhaupt
es gibt ganz viele sätze – worte – die mich in der tiefsten seele berühren
und sein witz ist sou komisch
wie er die anderen musicians verarscht – ist oder war – nie so beleidigend
wie das andere gemacht hatten
z.b. Bono:
“ es klingt als ob er auf dem clo sitzen würde und zwischendurch paar sätze
zwischen den zusammengepressten lippen rauspressen würde….“
dabei hat er doch mit ihm so so wunderbar schon gesungen
hmm…
was ich sagen wollte ist – dass es mir wirklich egal ist ob ich ein tic bekomme oder nicht
die zeiten – da Bruce auf der bühne spagat gesprungen hat
sind vorbei
es wird sicher ein ruhiges – nachdenklichbares und lyrisches konzert werden
und ich kann da zufuß hingehen – mich an die glaswände stellen und zuhören
ich muss ihn garnicht sehen dabeiund wenn du mal zeit hast – und an einem buchladen vorbeikommst
dann schau nach Nick Hornby ( das ist der typ dessen buch „High Fidelity“
verfilmt wurde) er hat viele bücher über music geschrieben
und eins davon heißt “ 31 songs“
( du musst es ja nicht kaufen nur die ersten seiten durchlesen )
sein song ist „Thunder Road“
wie er diesen song – der ihn durch sein ganzes leben begleitet
beschreibt – bis ins letzte definiert – ist die schönste liebeserklärung die ich
jemals gelesen habe________________________________________________________________

ach – da fällt mir grade noch etwas ganz wichtiges ein
ist zwar O.T. aber ich denke es ist wichtig:
Nick Hornby`s liebe zu „Thunder Road“ und Bruce
ist bestimmt auch – aber natürlich nicht ausschließlich geprägt
durch den traurigen umstand – dass sein einziger Sohn
also sein Sohn >Danny<: bei ihm wurde im alter von 3jahren - die diagnose " Autismus" festgestellt er kann nicht sprechen und vielleicht auch nicht hören aber Hornby meint: "music ist das - vielleicht - wertvollste in uns" und auch Danny hat möglicherweise einen zugang ..... also so ungefähr - so ungefähr - hatte er es beschrieben könnte es auch ganzgenau eintippen aber " für UNS" brauchst du es nicht - freaky yeah! music is great--

Wie N.H. thunder road beschreibt ist schon klasse. Den überwiegenden Rest des Buches fand ich grauenhaft öde.
Also lies es im stehen und blätter mal durch…allerdings ist es nicht teuer…;)
