IrrlichtTalib Kweli, „Quality“ ist ja absolute Spitzenklasse (höre seit Tagen kaum ein anderes Album).

Freut mich. Das ist auch sein bestes Solo-Album. Wirklich brillant. Diese Klasse erreichte er leider nie wieder, weder textlich noch musikalisch.

Daher auch die vorgestellte Frage. Die Kollaboration mit Mos Def klingt im übrigen auch sehr großartig, das wird im Hause Irrlicht wohl der nächste Ankerplatz.

Mit der „Oneirology“ hatte ich anfangs ziemliche Probleme. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Alben der Gruppe ist dieses ja doch ein wenig elektronischer ausgefallen und flächiger produziert. Die sanfte Wärme des souligen „Dirty Acres“-Albums vermisse ich hier jedenfalls ein wenig. Aber natürlich trotzdem ein sehr gutes Album, wird dir gefallen.

Soweit ich das nach vier Tracks beurteilen kann, sind die elektronisch(er)en Versatzteile hier aber nicht bloße Kunststoffdeko, sondern ja ein sehr wesentliches Rhythmuselement – das spricht mich dann durchaus an, zumal, wenn die Texte und dazugehörigen Stimmen darin aufgehen, wir Brausetabletten. Was ich sonst bisher gehört habe, klingt allerdings nicht weniger fantastisch, werde mir einfach mal schnappen, was mir zuerst in die Finger gerät.
