Wenn dir „Relayer“ und Crimson etwas zu verzwickt sind, dann könntest du mal bei Brian Eno oder bei Gong zwei Ohren riskieren. Da gibtes auch neben der „You“ einige vorzügliche Alben zu entdecken. Wenn du etwas für psychedelischere und spacigere Rockmusik übrig hast, dann solltest du da mal abbiegen.

@onkel-tom: Mich wundert die Nennung von „First Light“. Nicht, weil es eigentlich von 1971 ist, sondern viel mehr, weil ich es bei Dir nicht vermutet hätte. Magst du auch die Blue Note Alben von Freddie Hubbard oder liegt dir mehr der CTI-Sound?

Danke für den Hinweis. Auf meiner CD steht „originally released in 1974“. Ist das da nochmal neu erschienen oder ist es einfach ein Fehldruck?

Ich höre zwar nicht so viel Jazz aber einiges genießt doch hohe bis höhere Wertschätzung bei mir. Vorwiegend Alben, die nicht zu vertrackt sind.

Von Hubbard besitze ich 4 Alben

• Straight Life
• First Light

Der CTI Sound gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich habe von denen ja auch den 4 CD Sampler, den ich vor einiger Zeit hörte und im Tagebuch postete.

Kann eine Liste mit persönlichen Favoriten ambitioniert sein? Nenn mir mal ein paar lockere Pop-Platten von ’74. Vielleicht „Diamond Dogs“ oder „The Way We Were“? Die kämen dann immerhin auf den weiteren Plätzen. Die großen Pop-Platten kommen für mich erst in den 80ern.
