Die Sängerin aus British Columbia / Kanada ist eine großartige Entertainerin. Ob sie sich selbst mit Gitarre oder Klavier begleitet oder mit Band auftritt – immer überzeugt sie mit Stimmgewalt einerseits und mit ganz großem Gefühl auf der anderen Seite.

Bereits in 2009 gab sie ein Konzert in der Osterkirche und alle Besucher waren sich darin einig, einen magischen Moment erlebt zu haben.

Allison Crowe wurde an der kanadischen Westküste geboren. Die 1981 geborene Künstlerin, deren Familie irischer und schottischer Herkunft ist, entwickelte schon in früher Jahren mit Unterstützung ihrer Entdecker ein stabiles musikalisches Fundament mit Ausflügen in Klassik, Rock und Jazz.

Ihre Interpretation von Leonard Cohens Song „Hallelujah“ bei youtube gehört seit Jahren zu den meistgesehenen Einspielungen.

Einfach und einfach großartig. Die kanadische Musikerin Allison Crowe hatte bereits in der Vergangenheit einen Plattenvertrag mit einem Majorlabel abgelehnt, weil dieser mit zu vielen Kompromissen verbunden war. So veröffentlicht sie ihre Werke lieber unter dem eigenen Label und verbringt den Großteil des Jahres mit Touren. Nun bringt sie ihre fesselnde Show nach Berlin und Quedlinburg. Ein Piano, ein bischen Gitarre – das ist alles, was nötig ist. Im Vordergrund steht Allison Crowe’s Stimme, mal kraftvoll, mal zerbrechlich.
