Das Ranking ist genauso quatschig oder auch unquatschig wie jedes Ranking. Und dass die Amis da halt ihre US-Albendiscografie-Basis zugrunde legen, ist halt auch nur eine Art von vereinbarter Grundlage. Wenn man für jeden Song der Fabs ein „Album“ zuweisen will, auch wenn es sich um non-LP-Tracks handelt, kommt sowas halt dabei raus. Alles Vereinbarungssache!

jesseblueIch wusste bis eben gar nicht, dass es eine eigene „Revolver“-Version für den US-amerikanischen Markt gab.

ja, „Doctor Robert“,“ „And Your Bird Can Sing,“ und „I’m Only Sleeping“ waren schon auf „Yesterday and Today“ rausgekommen… daher hat das US-revolver nur 11 tracks… sind aber mindestens zwei hochkaräter die da fehlen

j-wJa, gern, weiss nur nicht, wann ich dazu kommen soll. Listenerstellen (so nett es auch immer wieder mal ist) musste bei mir in den letzten Monaten gegenüber Audio- und Videoproduktion in eigener Sache zurück stehen.

Ich habe mein Ranking in der Zwischenzeit erstellt (incl. der Cover-Versionen sind es 206 Tracks). Ein neuer Thread macht da wenig Sinn. Ich packe das später mal direkt hier hinein. „Rocky Raccoon“ muss rehabilitiert werden nach dieser Farce. Die spinnen, die Amis.

gipettoDieses Ranking ist mindestens genau so quatschig wie jedes andere Trackranking der Fab Four. Spätestens beim Abschneidem von Happiness Is A Warm Gun und Girl wird es albern. Und diese ganzen „Ami-Kompis“ als gleichwertige Alben einfließen zu lassen und dass Hey Jude dann auch noch gewinnt – was soll man dazu noch sagen. Die hochgelobten „SH“-User kochen eben auch nur mit Wasser…

Immerhin wissen die, was ein Album ist. Hier ist das ja eher so ein esoterisches Ahnen, das nur Eingeweihte spüren. Ob die Beatles das wussten, als sie ihr Album magisch und mysteriös nannten?

Unbelievable. Wie konnte es nur so weit kommen?

Nach ausführlicher Evaluierung halte ich diese Platzierungen in etwa für so gerechtfertigt wie den Sieg des FC in Gladbach am vergangenen Samstag.
