lathoDas RI von Faheys America fand ich auch gut, umso mehr freut mich die Box. No Other war/ist aber gebraucht noch gut zu bekommen, oder hatte ich nur Glück?
Von „No Other“ gibt es verschiedene Pressungen. Die Original US Asylum Pressung in Mint mit Poster zu finden, ist schon etwas schwieriger.
„Television“ wurde in meiner Quelle gar nicht genannt. Aber klasse, dass dieses Album endlich wiederveröffentlicht wird.--
Im Mai veröffentlicht Sundazed ein Velvet Underground Box-Set.

atomIch habe seit Jahren kein 4MWB Reissue gekauft und hatte auch wenig Bedarf. Aber vielleicht teste ich mal „Television“ von Television.
Erscheint die LP wirklich bei „4Men“, laut dieser Quelle wird sie über das spanische Label „Vinilisssimo“ veröffentlicht.

Naja, ich habe noch lange nicht alle unentbehrlichen Platten auf Vinyl nachgekauft, die ich auf CD hatte. Bei einigen Interpreten kann ich auf Originalpressungen verzichten und damit leben Reissues zu kaufen. Da bieten sich solche Boxen natürlich an.

Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit dem Reissue Label ‚Klimt‘ (Farewell Aldebaran, Lambert and Nuttycombe etc..)?? Klingen gut, aber ziehen die Herrschaften von Cd?? Legit??? Fragen über Fragen…;-)

Bella Union legt im Juni die Van Dyke Parks Alben „Song Cycle“, „Discover America“ und „Clang of the Yankee Reaper“ neu auf. Mit Details bezüglich der Re-Issues hält man sich beim Label aber noch zurück. Klick!
Mich interessiert, weshalb in der BU Beschreibung steht „the most highly priced […] albums“. Meines Wissens gibt es bereits Reissues von Warner, Edsel und auch Sundazed, obendrein zu vernünftigen Preisen. Reiner Marketing-Stunt seitens Bella Union also? Mit der Info über die kommenden Reissues schließt sich dann auch meine Hauptfrage an: Welche der Neuauflagen sind zu empfehlen und welche Quellen wurden bei den Warner/Edsel Reissues verwendet?
