Finally!
It’s with great pleasure that we can announce the release of the remastered deluxe edition of Madrugada’s second studioalbum The Nightly Disease. Released in 2001, the album followed up their immensely successful debut Industrial Silence, and further strenghened the band’s position as one of the most influental and important Norwegian rock bands of all time.
The new edition will be a double album release, where part 1 will consist of the entire studioalbum remastered while part 2 will consist of a handful previously unreleased album outtakes & demos in addtition to the EP’s that coincided with the album release. The new release will be housed in the same, beautiful slipcase as the remastered deluxe edition of Industrial Silence that was released in july 2010.
The Norwegian release date for the CD/digital edition is set to May 13th 2011.
And last, but not least, some news that we know many of you have anticipated and asked about for a loong time: the release date of the Industrial Silence deluxe LP. Well, both Industrial Silence deluxe LP and The Nightly Disease LP will be released on May 13th as as well. Hooray!
Preislich liegt die Nighly Disease (4LP) bei amazon.de bei 35,- Euro.

Sollte man auch die „Blue Day“-Singles-Compilation – welche die ersten drei EPs versammelt – geplant haben so wäre es erfreulich wenn man sie um „Outside Your Room“ und „5“ erweitern würde.

Die dürften auch gemerkt haben, dass ihre Version – aufgrund des unzensierten Covers – mittlerweile einen gewissen Sammlerwert bekommen hat. Die US-Pressung war ja nie out of print, die europäische verschwand dagegen um die 2003, 2004. Wobei es tatsächlich auch uncool ist diese LP mit einem anderen Cover als dem Po zu haben, das wäre wie „Nevermind“ ohne Baby.

Diese Exemplare waren dann allerdings recht bald vergriffen, und der Preis ging wieder ordentlich in die Höhe, mal schauen wie lange es jetzt wieder welche gibt.

Das WAREN Fälschungen – just zu der Zeit tauchten sie nämlich auch auf Berliner Märkten und bei den üblichen Online Händlern auf!

The Control Group is reissuing the first 3 Grandaddy albums on vinyl! (Under The Western Freeway, The Sophtware Slump, Sumday)
The Control Group has worked with the us to remaster and re-release our first three albums on vinyl. We decided to throw some t shirts and art into the mix as well. Everything’s available on July 19, 2011.
“We’re pleased to acknowledge the vinyl reissue of The Sophtware Slump, Sumday, and Under The Western Freeway. They’ve been out of print, and we’re happy to have them back. All of this is occurring in honor of the approximate 11 year anniversary of The Sophtware Slump. Yes …. 11 years. Much better than 10.”

Die ersten beiden Tindersticks-Alben werden am 29.8. über PLAIN wiederveröffentlicht. Leider immer noch kein „Curtains“ in Sicht…
Und ab dem 18.8. gibt es Reissues von „Death Of A Ladies‘ Man“ und „Various Positions“ (4MWB).
