12. Bülent ve Korhan – Ayrılık Anısı (1970)
While living far away, in lands too dreadful to dream of
I found the secret of life in worshipping you
Amidst all the poverty, in the land of misery
I found the secret of life in loving you
You, you, in loving youWith the burning desire of youth, I woke up from the dream
A life full of elation the two of us suddenly found
With you, with you, with you, suddenly--

Die beiden Damen waren Stars, die Herren kamen zu 90% eher aus dem Underground.

Turn your eyelashes into arrows
Shoot me in my chest and kill me
Turn your eyelashes into arrows
Shoot me in my chest and kill me
I am sick and tired of the world
Shoot me in my chest and kill me
Kill me, kill me, kill me
I cause no trouble to the world
Do I hold any value in your eyes?--

You can't beat two guitars, bass and drums - Lou Reed14. Erol Büyükburç – Manolya (1972)
Erol Büyükburç (born 22 March 1936, Adana, Turkey – died 12 March 2015, Etiler, Istanbul, Turkey) was a Turkish singer-songwriter, pop music composer, and actor.
Magnolia, this world turns into paradise
When I am with you for one moment
Your cheek touching mine
Magnolia, this world turns into a prison
When I am apart from you
And I am immersed in pain
Magnolia, MagnoliaIf I touched you, would you wilt?
Magnolia, Magnolia
If I kissed you, would you be upset?Your cheek smells heavenly
Your fiery lips burn when they kiss
Pain of love brings many troubles
Makes one’s heart bleed
Magnolia, Magnolia--
How come the lights dim every time I plug you in?Klingt jetzt fast wie ein russisches Volkslied, wohl auch durch diesen Balalaika Effekt
15. Akvaryum – Bir Gün İhtiyarlarsam (1975)
If I get old one day
Will you still love me?
When your hair turns white
Will you laugh at me?
When life turns into torment
Will you be by my side?
Will you still remain
My only friend and companion?A grandma with a wrinkly face
Grandchildren on your lap
And me, an old man
Who lost his way in lifeEinmal mehr die einzige Veröffentlichung dieser Band.

Das kam bislang dem am nächsten, was ich mir unter Türk-Pop dieser Ära vorgestellt habe.

16. Ali Kocatepe, Hümeyra, Esin Engin ve Bora Ayanoğlu – Akdeniz Şarkısı (1972)
Look, look at the sun in the horizon
Look, look – as it goes down and joins the sea
It’s as if the sea is burning there
Look, look at the dancing boats
Look, look at the waves and the seagulls
And the whiteness of the sea
Come with meLet the waves envelop us
Let them embrace our love
Let the boats dance – la la la la
Why should anyone care?
It’s our love after allThe waves are whispering love
They are greeting us
Look, look at the sun in the horizon
Look, look – as it goes down and joins the sea
It’s as if the sea is burning there--
How come the lights dim every time I plug you in?17.
Jahrhunderts in türkischer Übersetzung ebenfalls ıklığ genannt. Im Mittelalter scheint das persische Wort das türkische ıklığ verdrängt zu haben.
