Meine nächste Sendung bei Radio StoneFM am Donnerstag den 06.11.2025 um 22:00: On the Decks Vol. 50: Mixed Tape #19joliet-jakeFlurin, ich hatte eine ähnliche durchdringende Hammond-Erfahrung bei einem Steve-Winwood-Konzert im Münchner Herkules-Saal. Perfekte Akustik. 3. Reihe.
Keine Reihe bei mir … ein enges kleines Lokal, in dem ich auch mal ein umwerfendes Konzert von Howe Gelb hörte, mit einer Galerie im 3. Stock und steilen Treppen dort hoch, und da sass ich auch, hinter und ein paar Meter über Smith, konnte ihm auch beim Basssolo zuschauen, für das er sich auf den Boden kniete … grossartiges Erlebnis!

Und wenn es um den Namen Smith und um die Hammond-Orgel im Jazz ging, war Jimmy Smith für mich bisher das Maß der Dinge. Aber Lonnie Smith ist jetzt auf jeden Fall auf dem Zettel. Danke dafür.
