Album: On through the night (1980)Im Grunde war das hier im Vergleich zum dem was folgen sollte noch eine andere Band, wenn auch die selben Musiker. Dennoch starkes Album wenngleich ich die 3 Nachfolger noch besser höre.

Das Thema hatten wir an anderer Stelle ja schon. Zu Satz 1 absolute Zustimmung. Bei mir war, ist und bleibt das Debütalbum wohl vorne. „High ’n dry“ ging noch klar. Danach kam ich mit dem Wandel nicht mehr klar. Wobei „Pyromania“ immer noch besser war als „Hysteria“.

Wobei die Band später in andere Richtungen ging, sich dabei verfranste und sich nicht mehr auf ihre Stärken fokussierte „Lightning to the nations“ ist für mich ihr mit Abstand stärkstes Album. Sänger Sean Harris und Gitarrist Brian Tatler gehörten schon zu den Guten der NWOBHM!
