direkt hinter „Pop“, klar
ich müsste eigentlich jetzt noch mal meinen Opa zitieren…
Was denn? „Nicht mal in den Kriegswintern war’s so schlimm, wie als diese Iren ‚Pop‘ veröffentlichten!“
Im ernst, ich hab bis heute eine Schwäche für das Album, aber auch das lief nicht öfter als 3-4 mal die letzten 20 Jahre …Pop spielt bei mir überhaupt keine Rolle. Allein Discothéque finde ich schon so nervig und man war nirgendwo davor sicher (siehe Dialog von Rudi und Jörg von eben).
Bei mir spielt U2 eh überhaupt keine Rolle mehr … war mal eine Phase (Teenagerjahre, Mitte der 90er, „Pop“ von 1997 kriegte ich gerade noch mit, danach war ich raus und davor kannte ich auch nie lückenlos alles, aber schon so einiges, „The Joshua Tree“ müsste neben „Acthung Baby“ und „Pop“ auch noch im Regal sein, und irgendwie mochte ich auch „Rattle and Hum“ damals recht gerne, auch die CD müsste noch irgendwo sein).

Wenn Du bei „Cracker“ noch blank sein solltest, würde ich vor diesem Album noch vor allem „Kerosene hat“ und auch „The golden age“ empfehlen.

ich habe sie auf der Zooropa Tour noch live im Bremer Weserstadion gesehen, danach ließ man Interesse an U2 auch stetig nach. Später gab es noch ein paar ganz ordentliche Songs, aber die Alben fand ich alle nicht so besonders gut.
