Ich sag mal so, ich fand die beiden Alben zuvor, obwohl nicht ganz meine Baustelle, recht gut. Allerdings hatte ich auch damals schon den Eindruck, dass die Songs hinter den Effekten und der Produktion schon da nicht wirklich „groß“ waren. Auf dem neuen Album, dass da in der „Kantigkeit“ ein Stück zurückfährt, beweist sich für mich nur, dass sie für sich allein genommen nicht wirklich bestehen können.

Ich kenne keine Meinung aus dem Forum, an eine schlechte Kritik im Feuilleton kann ich mich aber nicht erinnern und ich habe das Album erst diese Woche wieder mit viel Freude gehört. Einen großen Schritt hin zu allgemein gefälligeren Sound höre ich nicht. Nine Types of Light setzt bei den ruhigeren Songs von Dear Science an, klingt insgesamt zurückgenommener und nachdenklicher als die bisherigen Werke.

Seit ich Bio-Obst kaufe, haben die Fruchtfliegen gesunde rote Bäckchen.Go1…Ich kann eigentlich nichts Schlechtes über die Platte sagen, außer dass sie wenig Höhepunkte hat und ich sie nicht gebraucht hätte (* * *)…
Das bringt es für mich auf den Punkt.
