I Just Can’t Stop It is the debut album by UK 2 tone band The Beat. The album was released in 1980 via Go Feet Records in the UK. It was released the same year in the US on I.R.S. Records under the name „The English Beat“.
Well received from the start, critics such as Rolling Stone raved that the music was „wild and threatening, sexy and sharp.“[3] And Allmusic later said „[it] was a stunning achievement“, which has been undiminished by time.[1]
The song „Mirror in the Bathroom“ featured in the film Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) and in „RocknRolla“ (2008). The song „Hands Off…She’s Mine“ featured in the film 50 First Dates (2004).

5. Paul Weller & Terry Callier – Brother to Brother (UK Single 2002)

Something of a guru to the Soho soulboy massive,
veteran Chicago singer-songwriter Terry Callier has a
voice like a warm breeze and a flair for framing
righteous indignation in sweet-toothed, gently
strummed surroundings. This is one of those nursey rhyme-style unity anthems that Curtis Mayfield might
have pulled off with ease, but in the joint mouths of Callier and Weller, feels a little like an ‘Ebony And
Ivory’ for the New Acosustic Movement: „One day they
will see/They can live as brothers just the same as you and me“. If only the warring factions in the Middle East could hear these wise words, you feel, their stunningly trite message would unite both sides
in mocking laughter. Nice tune, banal sentiments.

6. The Moons – Jennifer (Sits Alone) (UK Single 2012)

The Moons release “Jennifer (Sits Alone)”, a dreamy ‘60s psychedelic-influenced single from their upcoming album Fables Of History. The second single to be taken from that album,“Jennifer (Sits Alone)” will be available as a download and as a limited edition 7” backed with an exclusive non-album track “It’s Too Late”.
