Ballads of Living and Dying, Marissa's 2004 Debut album, originally released on Eclipse Records, will be released in a remastered form, with a track that was accidentally left off the album, in the coming months. The reissue will be out on Kemado records new vinyl imprint Mexican summer. (named after a Marissa song from Songs III: Bird on the Water)

Mhhh... "remastered"? Aber ansonsten erstmal eine gute Nachricht, das Album ist ja kaum auf Vinyl zu bekommen.

For those who wanted a vinyl version of Ballads of Living and Dying, you will only have to wait a couple more months for it. Kemado Records is issuing a remastered limited edition vinyl run, including a song that was initially meant to be on the record but was accidentally left off. The vinyl will be released on a brand new label imprint of Kemado Records called Mexican Summer records, named after my song. Very flattering! Its going to be all vinyl, all handnumbered, all cool.

Schade für alle, die diese LP noch nicht besitzen und nicht eben mal in die USA fahren können. Aber eine Chance hast Du anscheinend noch online, Marco:

If you want to buy one directly off of me, I will have my own to sell in the coming weeks and am accepting pre-orders. These copies will be signed. The record has a track that was initially left of the record- they are hand- numbered and gatefold. Also, I still have tshirts, tote bags. etc.

Die Eclipse Erstpressung ist ja eigentlich nicht mehr zu toppen.Ohne die Eclipse-Ausgabe zu kennen (ich hatte sie nur einmal in Manchester in der Hand und habe sie sträflicherweise ebenso wie "The Saga Of Mayflower May" nicht mitgenommen), aber: Besser als die Mexican Summer-Version kann sie eigentlich gar nicht sein. Weitere Label-Veröffentlichungen, siehe Website (http://www.mexicansummer.com), kenne ich nicht.
Vielleicht habe ich ja was an den Augen, aber wo kann ich denn auf der Webseite die LP bestellen? Ich finde da nur das Subscription-Angebot.

Nun, ich bin nicht restlos überzeugt von der Mexican Summer Version. Meine LP hatte ein paar "Knackser" und Schlieren sodass ich mein Exemplar schon getauscht habe. Die Eclipse Pressung ist dagegen tadelos (kommt aber ohne Gatefold und Bonustrack was ich gut finde).

Bei mir schon, wenn auch nur ganz knapp. Bloß kann ich die LP nicht mit der Innenhülle von oben in das Gatefoldcover schieben, sondern muss die LP hinter das Cover stecken. Geht auch.
Die Musik ist natürlich über jeden Zweifel erhaben.

Und vor 2 Wochen auch hier bei "Bis Aufs Messer" für 18 Euro gesehen. Wer hätte damit gerechnet?!

Dieses Problem scheint aber nur bei einem Teil der Sleeves zu bestehen. Ich habe mir zwei LPs bestellt, eine hat das von dir beschriebene Problem, bei der anderen hat man keine Probleme mit dem einschieben ins Gatefoldcover.
