Insgesamt vergebe ich ***** Sterne, egal welcher Schnitt eigentlich rauskommen sollte.
Denn es ist schon verdammt lange her, dass mir ein Album so viel Freude bereitet hat wie dieses hier.

Girls in their Summer CLothes würde ich ja am liebsten auch ***** geben, aber dann würden mich die meisten wohl für verrückt erklären ;-)
Und Livin in the Future und Ill work for your love schwanken immer wieder zwischen ***1/2 und ****, habe mich aber für ***1/2 entschieden, da ich die restlichen Songs einfach einen Tick stärker sehe.

Aber für den Gesamteindruck verteile ich 5 Sterne, weil für mich das Album ein Hammer ist. Konnte mich am Anfang gar nicht mit diesem Album anfreunden, aber mittlerweile läuft es fast ohne Pause in meinem Player. GENIAL!!!

Warum findest Du gerade "Your Own Worst Enemy" und "Girls..." besser als den Rest?
Das sind für mich die schwächsten Songs des Albums.

Warum findest Du gerade "Your Own Worst Enemy" und "Girls..." besser als den Rest?
Das sind für mich die schwächsten Songs des Albums.
Beim "Enemy" gefällt mir, daß er mal musikalisch ein bißchen was anderes ausprobiert. (Außerdem bin ich derzeitig absolut schwerstblütig, da paßt der Song ausgezeichnet.)
Und "Girls" ist "Sandy" revisited.
Natürlich kann ich auch verstehen, daß mancher gerade diese beiden Songs als nichtssagend und ermüdend empfindet. Gerade das tue ich aber nicht (aber ich höre ja auch viel Bossa Nova in meiner Freizeit... ;-) ).

Magic ist ein großartiges Album, welches einem beim ersten Anhören in seinen Bann zieht. Es ist eines seiner melodischsten Arbeiten. Die Melodien bleiben einem im Kopf hängen und es tritt der Suchtfaktor ein. Die Texte sind von einer bestechenden Klarheit und Tiefenschärfe. Die E-Street Band spielt mit einer Dichte, die man nur mitreißend nennen kann. Mit diesem Album behandelt Bruce Springsteen die essenziellen Themen wie Liebe, Freundschaft, Arbeit, Krieg und Tod. Einfach große Klasse ! Das Album erhält ***** Sterne.
