„Just got back from the Wiltern gig in LA. What a cracking gig! Weller was on real form and seemed to be having a ball on stage. The technical difficulties couldnt detract from what was one of the best Weller gigs we’ve seen for years. Weller & co have been in LA for a week and you could tell he’s been dying to get on stage.
He opened with a blinding rendition of ‚Blink and youll miss it‘. You wait til you hear this live!! His new stuff was really well received and Weller was really chatty with the audience, jokingly telling them „you have to like this new stuff!“. He dedicated Broken Stones to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Tim Burgess from the Charlatans came on during the encore to sing while Weller played the piano.
All round an amazing gig which lasted over 2 hours!!“
