Sorry. :) Da die alle so unterschiedlich sind, ist das schwierig. Warum nicht Transcendental Youth? Das ist musikalisch sehr spannend. Die Lyrics sind’s auch. Aber auf Goths ebenso.
Wer schreibt sonst so etwas?
Robert Smith is secure at his villa in France
Any child knows how to do the spiderweb dance
Siouxsie has enough hits to keep the bills paid
Every New Year’s in Los Angeles you can still see Richard Blade
But the world forgot about Gene Loves Jezebel
Yeah, the world forgot about Gene Loves Jezebel („Abandoned Flesh“)
Das neue Album Through This Fire Across from Peter Balkan ist auch toll. Also vielleicht rückwärts gehen?
Nachtrag: Plattentests versteht das neue Album nicht. 5/10. Ts. 4/10 von den Lesern. **** (von 5) vom Guardian: …The instrumentation includes piano, woodwind, strings, brass and harp and the band draw from a palette of genres including electronic, symphonic balladry, prog and powerpop. It ends up a bit like the soundtrack to an imaginary musical…However, this isn’t a dark album. It’s sumptuously crafted, full of gallows humour and – as with so much of Darnielle’s best work – delving below the surface reveals layers of deeper meaning about humanity, togetherness and the precious joys of being alive.
